It is possible to make meaningful and sustainable life changes in an efficient way. My approach to psychotherapy is integrated, with a strong emphasis on using the expertise and strengths an individual brings to the consulting space to enhance self awareness, understand and manage difficult emotions and to live more fulfilling and engaged lives.
I draw mainly on mindfulness-based, narrative, cognitive-behavioural and interpersonal therapies in managing a variety of psychological and emotional problems, as well as developing a individuals innate strengths and abilities.
My research interests include health and performance psychology, particularly in tailoring healthcare interventions in order to develop resilience and meet individual needs.
My most current interventions include Exercise-based Psychotherapy, an empowering combination of mindfulness practice and physical activity practiced in a scenic outdoor space. Walking/ running pace is set by the client, as they engage with life goals and challenges, side by side with the therapist.
