As an experienced Counselling Psychologist, I work in an integrated, holistic and intuitive way, foregrounding compassion and empathy. First and foremost, I aim to create strong, trusting, authentic therapeutic relationships with my clients. Taking careful note of their needs and preferences, I apply my professional judgement and insight towards carefully devising individually-tailored treatment plans that incorporate a creative approach. My diverse training background has exposed me to a wide array of therapeutic models. The therapy I offer is rooted in the principles of relational neuroscience and often includes working with Parts or ego states and using hypnosis. Over the years, I have become more and more convinced of the effectiveness and value of longer-term therapies. I work with both children and adults, mostly in areas related to adjustment, life transitions, loss and grief, psycho-emotional development and growth, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues. I have a special interest in assisting my clients with the challenges that are part and parcel of each life-phase (childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood and older age).
